Experiences

A Patagonia to be experienced

Some places are discovered by sailing. Others require stopping, walking, diving or casting a line.

Our experiences are born from knowledge of the territory and the ability to reach remote places with the logistics and specialists needed to truly explore them.

Every voyage can become something different: a fishing expedition, a dive in southern waters, a day of land exploration, a culinary experience, a night in a remote refuge or simply the opportunity to discover Patagonia from another perspective.

We do not design experiences in isolation from the territory. We incorporate them naturally into each voyage, according to the interests of the group, the vessel, the season and the conditions of each place.

Types of experience

Choose what you want to experience

Each experience is coordinated according to the group, the weather and the region — this is what can be added to your journey.

Western Patagonia Culinary Experience

Gastronomy with a sense of place

Patagonia is also discovered through its flavours.

Our culinary offering is rooted in the territory and its produce: fish, seafood, oysters, lamb and other local ingredients that form part of the culinary identity of southern Chile.

The Western Patagonia Culinary Experience brings this connection with the territory on board, creating a culinary offering specially conceived for each expedition.

From a meal prepared with freshly caught seafood to a barbecue beside a remote fjord, gastronomy becomes part of the journey as an element of the exploration experience.

The landscape is the table. The territory is the ingredient.

Exploration

Exploration activities

Fly Fishing

Patagonia offers some of the most extraordinary settings for fly fishing. We work with expert guides with deep knowledge of the territories we explore, able to design an expedition dedicated exclusively to fly fishing or to incorporate fishing days into a voyage.Read more

Depending on the route, we can make stops at rivers, lakes and specially selected fishing grounds, combining the sailing experience with days on land.

Each outing is adapted to the participants' level, the season and the character of the territory, always seeking places where the fishing experience becomes part of a true exploration of Patagonia.

Sea Fishing

The channels and fjords of Patagonia offer unique opportunities to explore fishing in southern waters.Read more

In some of our destinations, we work with specialised guides who know the fishing areas and can accompany the group on a guided day.

The experience can be naturally integrated into the charter, sailing to selected locations for a fishing outing before continuing the expedition on board.

Diving Expeditions

Diving in Patagonia requires planning, experience and specially prepared logistics. For this reason, we do not approach it as a standalone day activity, but as a complete diving expedition.Read more

We work with instructors and professionals experienced in the territories we explore, with the possibility of organising the complete operation: diving equipment, tanks, compressors, safety, surface logistics and underwater photography.

The vessel becomes our base for exploring the fjords, channels and marine ecosystems of Patagonia beneath the surface.

Each expedition is designed specifically for the group and destination, taking into account local conditions, the participants' experience and the logistics required for a safe and complete operation.

Land Exploration

Sailing allows us to reach extraordinary places, but some reveal their true scale only when we leave the vessel and continue on foot.Read more

Along our routes, there are many opportunities for land exploration: nature reserves, national parks, glaciers, rivers, forests and remote coastlines, always selected according to the route and the conditions of the journey.

In Laguna San Rafael, for example, we can incorporate an ascent of Gualas Glacier, descend the river by packraft, explore the Ofqui Isthmus or visit the unusual whale cemetery of San Esteban Gulf.

It is also possible to trek and take guided excursions around Laguna San Rafael National Park, explore the shores of the lagoon and observe colonies of elephant seals, leopard seals and an extraordinary diversity of flora and fauna.

Each outing on land is an opportunity to change perspective: from boat to forest, from fjord to glacier, from sea to places where Patagonia becomes completely wild.

Wilderness hospitality

Sleeping where the road ends

Patagonia can also be explored from land.

During an expedition, it is possible to complement sailing with stays in special places: refuges, lodges, hot springs and establishments deeply connected to the territory. These are places where the experience continues after going ashore, revealing another dimension of Patagonia and the communities that inhabit it.

A visit to Mechuque allows us to walk, discover its traditional buildings, learn about its history and get closer to the life of an island community.

A brief stop, rich in identity, within a voyage through the Chiloé Archipelago.

Aerial extensions

The air as an extension of sailing

Patagonia can also be discovered from the air.

On certain routes, we can incorporate aerial experiences into the nautical charter itself, using seaplanes or helicopters to temporarily extend the territory explored. The aim is not to replace sailing, but to add a new perspective to the expedition: reaching the vessel from the air, flying over a glacier, briefly accessing a remote place or carrying out a specific activity before returning on board and continuing to sail.

Arriving at the Vessel by Seaplane

Begin the expedition from the air.Read more

Depending on the route, it is possible to reach the vessel directly by seaplane, flying over islands, fjords, forests and mountains before meeting the vessel at a remote point in Patagonia.

An extraordinary way to begin a voyage and experience the vastness of the territory from the very first moment.

Helicopter Exploration

During the charter, when the route and conditions allow, we can incorporate a short helicopter flight to discover glaciers, mountains, valleys and territories that are difficult to access from the sea.Read more

After the flight, we return to the vessel and the expedition continues by sea.

An experience that allows us to see from above the territory we are exploring from the water.

Remote Fishing from the Charter

On certain routes, a day of fishing can be extended by incorporating a short aerial transfer to a remote river or fishing area.Read more

The group can enjoy a short guided fishing day and then return to the vessel to continue the charter.

The air thus becomes an extension of the nautical expedition, allowing access to places that would otherwise require much more complex logistics, while the vessel always remains the central element of the journey.

Every expedition is different

The experiences available depend on the route, the vessel, the season and the conditions of the territory.

Some activities require specialised guides, specific equipment, additional logistics or the participation of local operators. Aerial experiences are also subject to weather and operational conditions and the relevant authorisations.

Our team assesses each expedition individually to integrate the experiences that best suit the group and the territory they wish to explore.

The route defines the territory. The group defines the experience.
