Frequently asked questions
What we are asked most before arranging a departure. If you cannot find your answer, write to us directly.
Bookings and enquiries
How do I book a departure?
There is no online booking or payment through the website. Message us on WhatsApp or email us with your dates, region of interest and group size — we will coordinate availability directly with you.
Do you publish prices?
No. Each departure is quoted according to region, duration, group and season — we will give you a specific price as soon as we have discussed the details.
How far in advance should I write?
It depends on the date and region. Write to us as far in advance as possible and we will assess what is feasible for your dates.
Can I change or cancel a departure that has already been arranged?
Terms for changes are discussed case by case when each departure is arranged — there is no single published policy yet.
The experience
Are the charters private, or do I share the vessel with other groups?
Always private — closed groups, with no places shared with other passengers.
Which vessel do you use?
It depends on the departure and region: the reference vessel is the yacht Alba, and the fleet includes other yachts, catamarans, a sailing yacht and a motor launch — allocation is coordinated according to group, region and availability.
Who captains the departures?
Felipe Jugo, with more than 30 years at sea and 17 years as a captain, sailing the channels of Chiloé, Aysén and Magallanes, and the Juan Fernández Archipelago. He designs the itinerary for each departure and is at the helm when we set sail.
Which regions do you operate in?
Los Lagos (Chiloé), Aysén, Magallanes and Juan Fernández.
Is there a specific season for sailing?
We sail between September and April. Depending on the region and what you are looking for, we recommend the most suitable dates when discussing your departure.
Other lines of work
Do you do anything besides private charters?
Yes. We coordinate nautical support and maritime logistics on a case-by-case basis for scientific and documentary expeditions in the Patagonian channels. You can see this work in the Passage Plan section of the site.
