Puerto Gala
An isolated and welcoming settlement built across three islands connected by walkways. A small community lost among the Patagonian channels, where life remains closely connected to the sea and nature.

About the expedition
Our expedition begins in Puerto Aguirre, entering the labyrinth of channels of the Chonos Archipelago. We will sail towards Bahía Marta, in Puyuhuapi Channel, continuing to Puerto Cisnes and Puyuhuapi, where we may stop at the hot springs, surrounded by forests, mountains and inland waters.
From there we will continue towards Puerto Gala, a small community lost among the channels, and spend the night at Playa Bonita before crossing Moraleda Channel and reaching Filomena Island. We will continue sailing south to Jechica Island, one of the great landmarks of this expedition. There, a refuge immersed in nature awaits us: a place from which to experience the isolation and scale of the archipelago, surrounded by forests, channels and sea.
From Jechica we will continue south and west, exploring landscapes shaped by wind, rain and ocean, until reaching the areas of the spectral trees and Kent Island, also known as "Friendship" in accounts associated with the enigmatic sightings in these remote waters. Among channels, forests and open sea, we will explore a territory where isolation feeds both imagination and mystery.
This is an expedition into the most remote Chonos: a territory fragmented by channels and covered in forests and small islands, where distance, tides and weather have shaped one of the most untamed geographies of Patagonia. A journey of exploration and refuge, where each day takes us farther from the usual routes and deeper into the island labyrinth of the Chonos.
The expedition
An expedition through remote channels, islands and forests, from Puyuhuapi to the far reaches of the Chonos Archipelago.

An isolated and welcoming settlement built across three islands connected by walkways. A small community lost among the Patagonian channels, where life remains closely connected to the sea and nature.

An untouched corner of white sands, hidden among the waters and mountains of Patagonia. Its distinctive beach was formed by the erosion of a quartz mountain, shaped over centuries by the action of a waterfall.

A natural refuge hidden among the channels of insular Patagonia. A secluded Western Patagonia anchorage, sheltered from the winds and surrounded by an untouched landscape, where silence and nature prevail.

An extraordinary encounter in Patagonian waters: a humpback whale emerges among the fjords and mountains of Seno Gala, in a remote landscape where marine life meets the vastness of the southern territory.
